Old Hamptonians Chronicle 2008

This year's OH Chronicle has recently been published with a pdf version available on this website. Another tremendous edition packed with colourful articles, photographs and OH reports. [We also included with the mailing, the Annual Dinner invitation letter and ticket reply form, copies of which are also on this website.]
I would like to take this opportunity to pass on the School's sincere thanks to all the OH who sent in their own contributions. Also the Editor Peter Goddard (50-58) and the designer Jiri Musil (a former parent) who have both worked tremendously hard to produce another entertaining publication.
We posted this week over 4,500 copies to our UK and overseas OH on our mailing list. If any OH haven't received their copy (we might have an old address) or would like to be added to this mailing, please send me an email and I'll gladly assist.

400th Anniversary Map

Last week during a summer holiday ‘spring clean’, I came across this wonderful map by V E Mackenzie which some OH may find interesting. The map was issued in 1957 as part of the 400th Anniversary showing the five Hampton School sites. This photograph is a low resolution version but a higher resolution one is attached to the recent Newsletter '400th Anniversary', which can be downloaded for those who wish to print off a copy. Outstanding A and AS Results

A and AS Level Results 2008.
Our Upper Sixth leavers today celebrate outstanding A level results which have improved substantially yet again even on last year’s new record levels.
Hampton has achieved a remarkable 72% rate of top A grades and a 94% rate of top AB grades, both of these being new records for the School by a substantial margin.

St Paul's Cathedral DVD
3rd July 2008
St Paul’s Cathedral Service DVD : The School recently completed this DVD from the 450th Anniversary Service held at St Paul’s. A wonderful production by the boys’ Film Club capturing the readings, addresses and the Bishop of London’s inspiring sermon. Please use the order form under this site's 'publications' section if you would like to order a copy. £5 including p&p. However, please note there are only 150 available copies for sale via the OH website, so please send in your orders as soon as possible.

The Level Playing Field

Two long-standing members of staff, Pat Talbot and Jon Cook have published an updated and expanded version of their earlier book which brings together a tremendous collection of sporting articles. This new book, "The Level Playing Field" is an entertaining read and can be bought by downloading the order form at the bottom of the recent newsletter on this OHDB website.
