OH teaching at Hampton
18th April 2008
This term we are celebrating the proud fact we have seven Old Hamptonians teaching at School with Will Dickie (94-01) joining Drama in September to make up the new ‘Famous Eight’.
The current OH at School are [L–R] Angus MacDonald (79-86) Head of Psychology and 1st XV Backs Coach, Simon Croucher (93-99) PE and Master in Charge of Rowing, Nick Davies (95-00) Geography, CCF and U14s Rugby Coach, Neil Double (89-96) Chemistry and J15 Rowing Coach, Luke Watson (90-95) Biology, Sailing and Windsurfing, Matt Sims (96-03) Sports Rehabilitation and Ravi Kothakota (92-97) Drama and U13s Rugby Coach.
Along with their colleagues, each one of these Old Hamptonians is making a significant contribution to the life of the School both in their academic and their extra curricular achievements and it is good to know that so many OH wish to return to the School.
Summer Term starts
10th April 2008
The School Summer Term started today with the boys returning after their Easter holidays. During the break, Hampton held yet again, a major programme of overnight trips involving 528 boys and 83 staff on 20 trips including 10 overseas visits. Several staff and some boys joining more than one trip ! Reports from these trips will be available on the School website in due course.
While the boys were away, the new 450 Hall project for the Performing Arts has now taken shape with the steel frame virtually complete. A very impressive structure and full credit to the Architect, Engineers and Contractors for their achievements.
Please don't forget there's an open invitation to any Old Hamptonian who would like to visit the School for a tour. Please drop me an email and I'll be happy to help.
Best wishes for now
